"We leap for the BIG FISH": NCB official investigating drug accused in Sushant's Death Case

5th September 2020:

Sushant's Singh Rajput's death mystery has taken its root to a nexus of drug where the national biggest drug agency is now investigating.

Yesterday, after an early morning raid at Rhea Chakraborty's home,Showik Chakraborty (Rhea's brother) was arrested based on evidences found on his digital devices and his own confession with drug links. Even Sushant's house manager, Samuel Miranda was arrested based on the same ground as that of Showik.

Today they were presented infront of the judge at the Quila court and after all the procecution the final verdict was in NCB's court. Both of them were sent into police custody remand till 9th of September.

Addressing the media a little after the judgment of taking Showik & Samuel into remand, NCB official said, " Today we have two more people, which makes total of four people in our custody remand. Whole morning we were busy with the court procedure and now we will sit together and look the entire situation and then decide our next course of action."
The other two people who were already in NCB's remand till 9th of September are Zaid Viltara and Abdul Basit Parihar, the drug peddlers who confirmed their drug links with Showik & Samuel.

When asked, Other than Sushant what's the connection of drug with Bollywood? NCB official said, "The information that we have at this point of time and with the constant support and help of media, We are sure we will gather more information and work out everything."

Commenting on whether NCB will only interrogated the small fishes, NCB official said, " Narcotics Control Burea is the national agency, the uppermost layer of drug law enforcement, in drug matters. We look into International and Interstate connections. 'WE LEAP for the BIG FISH' . Normally it's not part of our mandate, but now that we are getting information we will not sharp our responsibility and will take this case to its logical conclusion."

When asked about Rhea's summon, NCB official said, " The whole point of taking people into custody remand is to -make the accused confront each other, to clarify their individual roles, so yes we will ask Rhea Chakraborty and other required people to join the investigation because we also need clarity on who did what".

Commenting about her arrest he said, " No speculation,if anything of that sort will happen we will tell you. But yes we will send a summon to her because that's the logical progression in this case."

"This case has given us an entry into the network and an extent of penetrating into the drug connection", he said when asked about the involvement of bigger personalities and large part of the drug cartel.

When asked by a reporter whether it was only the chats or there was other evidence that lead to arrest of Showik Chakraborty and others, he commented, "It's between us and the court. We cannot share any judicial information linked with this case."

Commenting on the arrest of other accused in this case and also the prime accused Rhea, NCB official reiterated that it's a matter of investigation and as the investigation moves ahead more dots will get connected. We are discussing the evidences with our Public Procecutor and going further if anyone is found guilty they will be arrested.

When asked if Deepesh Sawant is made an approver, NCB official gave a clear clarification stating that, " When NCB registers a case it's a complaint case not an FIR as in case of police. In case of complaint case, if it's a small drug case we get 60 days to investigate and in case of bigger ones, which usually we understand, we get 6 months of time to complete our investigation. When we file a charge the court takes cognizance of it, so this question would have been relevant at the initial stage of the entire case, right now it's irrelevant."

"Kanga Ranaut as of now has no direct link to this investigation. If she shares anything then we will see if it has any relevance with this case or not", the official said when asked about Kangana's comment and revelation of bollywood drug nexus.
